Thrifted Thursday 4/$20 + a new favorite

Happy February! We are bracing today for snow! Not something we see often in this part of Texas. I know other states certainly have it way worse. I hope wherever you are, you are staying warm!

For this post, I am mixing and matching colors and textures, as well as combining expensive and inexpensive pieces together.

One of these pieces will go on my list of best-thrifted items! Can you guess which one? I’ll give you a hint, it was under $10.

This will be a perfect fall outfit, but I didn’t want to wait for almost a year to show it to you! The outfit started with a $6 thrifted plaid blazer by The Limited. Similar styles are running about $30-50 online. I love their blazers, great quality, and rich colors.

I will be able to wear this with a lot of things with it’s beautiful colors of forest green, rust, oatmeal, and a gray base.

The next piece was a beige $3 fedora. It is by Lack of color, which is expensive, it is online for $130! It is a beautiful hat, it appears to be new.

I already had the vintage Ralph Lauren leather-trimmed vest, I purchased it on eBay years ago. It has a similar color to the hat, by chance, I thrifted a cheapo pleather skirt by Shein for $6 that matches the vest very well. It was too big but I altered it to fit. They have similar skirts still on their site for $14-21. The $5 purse had the rust and green colors in a reptile print which would go along with the boots I would be wearing.

The skirt and vest pulled out the rust in the plaid and to grab the green I used a $10 Shein ribbed turtleneck. I like their turtlenecks because they are really soft and not too heavy which is great for our warmer climate.

I am always looking for an excuse to wear my new Vince Camuto Fenindy snakeskin boots. They are fire hot! Hubs bought them for me as an early Valntine’s Day gift. I ADORE Vince Camuto boots, they never disappoint.

A statement shoe or purse is always a good investment, it helps to elevate the look of anything you are wearing. Using the same basics but adding a different purse and a black ruffled sweater I bought at Walmart on clearance, pulls the black out of the boots and gives the outfit a different vibe. The eye is always drawn to a good statement shoe and the hat just adds a little glam.

A Walmart sweater with a Ralph Lauren vest, opposite ends of the fashion $$ spectrum, but textures always trump brand in my opinion. I will be looking forward to styling these boots and cutie pie hat with a lot of future outfits.

If you guessed the hat as my best purchase, you would be correct! $3 for a $130 item is always a good shopping day!

Have a wonderfully blessed day,

Eden
