Styling a faux leather cape blazer
Of fall… how I love thee, and the fashions to create! Cape blazers are a style staple in my humble opinion, what’s not to love? Half cape half blazer = adorable! Let’s style a cute one I recently found and do it with ALL thrifted clothing pieces.
I thrifted the navy turtleneck long ago and did not have a photo of it’s tag. As you can see I spent under $45 to create these 3 outfits, which is a crazy great deal. I was especially happy to find the cape blazer in faux leather which was unique, and in a rich fall color. They also had it in black which I also purchased and will be styling in the future.
First up is a great office and out after outift. Plaid pants, turtleneck, BeBe oxford heels, and a fedora. Belting the cape in the front gives it more definition.
This is how I normally prefer to wear cape blazers, but since it’s faux leather and not super durable, I won’t be styling this particular one with the belt in the front too often.
If you have followed my blog, you know how much I ADORE all things plaid. Especially vintage plaid skirts ( preferably wool) I think they are truly timeless fashion staples. Pulling the least represented color in the print will bring it to the forefront, which in this case was the orange. A coordinating beret tops off a perfect fall style.
Do these navy boots look familiar?? They were the ones I spray-painted last year and they are still holding up great!
Outfit 3- Over a dress. I love an orange and leopard combo as you will see several times this month. I had been looking for a leopard dress with a full skirt for a long time. I was thrilled to find this one by Torrid, which I can wear year-round.
I also styled it with the belt in the front to show how much more tailored it looks by doing so.
Give cape blazers a try, you can create so many fun looks with them!
Blessings,
Eden
