Deal of the day

Checking the sky for flying pigs or potential lottery winnings. It’s a rare day to find 2 GREAT deals on pieces that needed virtually no work.

These barstools are from the North shore line by Ashley. I love almost this whole line since it’s ornate and has that heavy, rich old-world look and feel. I have bought several pieces of it over the years.

$230 each. Oh dear Ashley, bless your heart. My price…..

4 stools, 3 had nothing wrong other than needing the arms tightened up. The 4th just needed the seat recovered and the finish touched up, nothing major. I only needed 3 but I went ahead and bought the 4th for extra seating or parts. I could resell these today for triple what I paid, but I think am going to keep them for a bit. You would think that would be the best value purchase of the day there, but NO….

Same store I picked up this North shore end table..

$374 table? My price $7.99 Even a better value vs the North shore price. It had a couple of very minor dings which old english took care of in a flash. It looks brand new. I don’t love the flower detail but I love the legs.

This is why I love to thrift. The art of the hunt. I change our decor more frequently than most. When I tire of a table I only spent $8 for, I can let it go easily. If I spent $400 for that same table, I might hang on to it longer than I want to because of the investment I made. I would rather love my space than hold on to expensive pieces that lose their value so quickly. $116 vs $1300 for the exact pieces.

Have an exceptional day!
