The patient patio

Uggh. I am contemplating using my DIY skills to build an ark since the rain hasn’t stopped for 13 days. Of course, my ark would be an ornate monstrosity that will probably look better than it would function lol.

When the rain finally gives way to the beautiful sunshine we are accustomed to, our guest balconies are getting a new do. Being stuck inside, I have been a DIY machine and have already bought or made all pieces for both balconies, now we wait for the weather to act like it’s Texas.

I love floral prints, they are just so happy and sing summertime. I actually bit the bullet and bought cushions for the balcony this season since I learned my lesson from the sewing hell that was our pool patios.

When I saw these cute cushions, I threw them into the cart and headed to check out. I was stopped a few times by women who loved the print, asking if there were any left. Now normally, that would only confirm their cutie-pieness but since the women were all older than me, it did make me question if maybe my floral taste had possibly drifted into the wrong lane highway, the one that leads to crochet afghans, doilies, and display cabinets of kniknack clowns and farm animals which adorn the walls of many a grandmas house…

{{{{SHIVER}}}} If that is your jam then more power to ya sister but it is just not my thing. My lovely daughters confirmed I will still on route ‘it’s cute” so the cushions/decor sit in patiently in the guest bedroom, looking out the balcony doors waiting to be used.

Pix to come soooooon…

Blessings,

Eden
