$28 plaid coat

Today, I am going to share what I like to call a patient purchase. It’s when you see something you like online, but it’s more than you want to spend and you know you will find it for less if you are just patient. Such was the case with the adorable plaid coat.

If you are a fashionista, you have probably seen an ad for some version of it, it came in several variations of color. It was everywhere online a while back, now I can only find ONE pix on images which is a different style but similar.

At the time it was running between $70-100, which is not bad for a cutie pie coat, but I live in Texas and coats are not a big staple here, plus I already own too many as it is, I couldn’t justify spending that. I knew since it was so popular online I would find it thrifting, Poshmark, or the like at some point.

Patience paid off when it popped up on eBay for $22. The shipping was surprisingly low so I was able to get it for only $28. A much more agreeable price.

The colors are a little different than I expected, but that is commonplace. The arms are really small so I will need to alter it at some point, but it is light-weight and gives a great pop of color! The great thing about plaid is you can wear so many different things with it. It matches one of my favorite pairs of boots so that is a win too.

I need another coat like a hole in the head but I am always a sucker for a cute trench. It’s a definite style maker. Plus it’s plaid, my favorite print how could I say no? I just need to talk hubs into visiting colder states more often to really enjoy them. Or I guess I will be wearing them all around the house lol.
