Nautical & casual

As a military wife and mom, Memorial Day always hits my heart. I think of the heroes who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms and the families they left behind. It’s also a day that many decorate the graves of loved ones. A somber holiday but also a day of remembering those who we were blessed to love. I struggled in deciding to post today, it feels insenstive for me to talk about outfits when so many are having a hard day, which is why I chose to post this the day after. I hope wherever you are on this Memorial Day, that you find comfort in those around you and that your heart is filled with more joy than sorrow in recalling time and memories spent with those you loved.

Blessings,

Eden

This look was inspired by the adorable $10 anchor tote. My hubby was in the Navy and so is my son, so it’s a reminder of them both. It’s always a fun day to pull out the white jeans from hibernation. Granted, you can wear white year round, the first rule of fashion is to follow no rules, it’s all about what you like and what makes you happy to wear it.

One designer that always makes me fashion happy is Ralph Lauren. The denim emblem blazer was an eBay find and the tank top from Goodwill. The distressed jeans are from Ross, and the Just Fab ribbon tie wedges were purchased at NBC, they are the perfect summer wedge.

Adding a pair of slacks instead of jeans would dress this casual outfit right up.

Blessings,

Eden
