Black Watch 3 ways

You are all well aware of my affinity for all things plaid. The top of my favorite plaid chain would be Black Watch tartan. It’s a green and blue plaid that has been around since the 1700’s so it certainly has staying power.

I will usually pick it up whenever I find it, which honestly is not all that often. All of these pieces were purchased from eBay through the years. Not surprising, the first piece I acquired was the vintage Ralph Lauren blazer trimmed in leather. I had to search high and low for it. It’s a rare piece and the price has almost doubled on them since I bought mine four years ago. It’s one of my favorite pieces. The leather skirt is also Ralph Lauren. I paired it with a navy beret and Vince Camuto snakeskin Fendels boots. The purse is actually from Target, and it matches pretty well.

Next up is a vintage Ralph Lauren 3 piece suit with velvet trim, (It’s actually 4 pieces since I also have the long skirt) The set is now worth $350+ since they are harder to find. A few years ago you could find vintage Ralph Lauren very reasonably. I am glad I bought these things when I did. I love wearing menswear so this is my favorite Ralph set. The tie and shoes are vintage as well, the tartan oxfords by are extremely rare. The overcoat is by Tommy Hilfiger, also an eBay purchase.

The Anne Klein cape is vintage and is a great over type coat. I paired it with leggings and thigh suede boots and also over the suit. It can be used so many different ways! I am sure you will see many more pairings with these timeless pieces!
