Thrifted Thursday floral beauty

In my many years of thrifting, I have scored some pretty great deals. This lovely floral dress will certainly be added to that list. This will be one of those pieces I will have for decades since beautiful florals never go out of my style.

As I have stated many times, the first thing I look for when I hit the dress rack is what fabric/print jumps out of the lineup. When I saw the full skirt adorned with large and very realistic flowers I was already hooked. The graphic is amazing.

It’s unusual to find a long sleeve black and white floral. Generally, the floral prints tend to be more colorful on a black background. I am always in the mood for an out of the ordinary dress.

I assumed that it would be on the higher side, our thrift stores have all went up quite a bit in price. This was a flawless dress by Ted Baker so I was ready for the price to reflect that. I was shocked it was only $13. Even better, it was new, with the price tag was still on it, $229 GPB (British pound) with the conversion rate to US $ my lovely dress is $307! A $300 new dress for $13?? Yes, please!

Deals like this are the reason I so enjoy thrifting. You never know what you are going to find. I love discovering unique treasures in a sea of ordinary.

This is a perfect transition piece for March, the dress is warm but not too much so and the florals give that spring is coming vibe. It was the tail end of a cold snap when I wore this to church, So I paired it with a fur belted jacket and fur trimmed Cole Haan vintage boots. I always turn into a 5 year old with a full skirt. She is twirl worthy and did not disappoint lol. Bonus points that it has pockets! It really is a perfect dress.

Hope your day is an amazing one!
