$9 Red & White classic dress

I certainly enjoy coloring outside of the fashion lines in most of the outfits I put together, creating things that I truly love to wear has always been more important to me than what is currently in style. I like a glam look, but sometimes, less is more. You can never go wrong with the classics, those that can stand the test of time and the ever changing and fickle eye of fashion. Understated, simple glam packs it own style punch without all the whistles and bells.

When I saw this $9 dress by Venus, it had that vintage-esque look with the longline skirt and simple crossover top. Vibrant red and crisp white always makes for a style winning color combo. As it often happens, this dress was incorrectly sized on the price tag, I have found so many great pieces by looking through the whole rack and not just my size. While the longer skirt would look better on a taller frame, I didn’t want to alter it to keep the vintage look.

What I love about this dress is it’s staying power. In decades to come, this look will still remain stylish. To keep the vintage feel going, I paired it with a red patent vintage purse and red and white patent Steve Madden wingtip heels. They are one of my favorite pairs of heels. I named this chunky white necklace Wilma, after the Flintstones since it is what I think of every time I put it on.

Of course, I will take any opportunity to wear this adorable red and white hat I purchased last year, it goes perfectly with this dress and is also a classic itself. $9 was a great price to pay for a timeless piece. It’s not the price or logo tag that makes the style, it’s how it makes you feel in it.

Have the most blessed day,

Eden
