Western Wednesday & The friend tree

It’s a busy blog week trying to get everything posted before Christmas. I have so many projects going on at once, as usual. We have 3 big parties happening so I am a DIY machine lol.

For Western Wednesday, I am posting a pix of our friend tree. I started doing this in 2014 and it always makes me happy to pull out these DIY ornaments.

We have a lot of friends who are like family to us. Plus we moved and have made new friends here in Texas so the tree is just a reminder of those we love. It is in our family room which has more of a rustic decor so I always decorate the tree with burlap, buffalo plaid, and vintage type ornaments.

I took a thick branch from the yard and hubs cut the ornaments from it. We drilled a tiny hole at the top for the burlap tie. A little Modpodge with the photos and now we have a cute Christmas gallery of our friends. I made the H plaid and fur from a lawn flag that I attached to a thrifted tree skirt.

Soon, this family room will be filled with family and friends. I absolutely love this time of year!!

Christmas blessings to you!!
