$12 Thrifted Thursday

Today’s deal of the day is a rare find in the thrift world, an outfit that you can purchase for yourself since at the time of this posting, it is currently on their website. This cutie pie dress is from Express, a tried and true favorite brand of mine.

Notice on the tag GW’s $12 vs $69.90, (what an odd price) and now the site has it for $80. Inflation? Leftover from another season when reptile/animal print was “in” (as it almost always is) lol, who knows. Comparatively, I certainly can’t complain about $12, but normally, I try to spend less than $10, especially for thrifted Thursday but this was a great deal. The tag also shows that once again they had a dress tagged as a top, ( it would look cute with leggings too) so remember if you are thrifting to look at all racks and sizes. Things are mismarked all the time and put in the wrong places/sizes.

In the spirit of last month’s dare to wear, a mini reptile dress wasn’t quite enough, lets bring on the lace-up thigh boots. I love all types of over-the-knee boots, being vertically challenged what should go above the knee on most is thigh on me. They are also warmer and cover more when wearing a shorter skirt since I normally don’t wear a lot of minis. They also elongate my pitifully short legs. The Steve Madden velvet plunge booties also go with it and give the dress a different, less edgy look.

Fall colors and a thinner fabric = a mostly year-round dress SCORE! Ruffles and animal/reptile print oh my! A great $12 investment.

Blessings,

Eden
