Thrifted Thursday blues

When we lived in Colorado, you would see orange and blue together everywhere thanks to the Denver Broncos. Fans are die hard there, as I am sure they are in every state. I really like the color combination, but granted, it wasn’t all pretty, since some fans feel the need to paint the colors on their hairy chest in the middle of winter. WHY?? Hmmfph. Since we moved to Texas, I had not really put the two colors together until I found these 2 cuties. Shame on me for forgetting what a fun combo it is.

I believe it to be true that a colorful outfit can change your attitude. I sooo love vibrant colors, they just put me in a peppy kind of mood. Now, if I could only find something to wear that would put me in a peppy clean-the-house or laundry frame of mind, I would love that, but alas, no such outfit exists for me to enjoy those tasks.

A task I do enjoy is finding inexpensive things for thrifted Thursday. The vibrant floral capri pants by Loft, were only $8 and the dress was a steal at only $4!

I bought the dress at a new to me thrift store. It’s in a small town not far from us. It was really tiny and took all of 15 minutes to go through the entire store, but they had some cute designer and vintage things for ridiculously cheap prices. Normally I only stick to shopping in certain thrift stores and don’t really waver from them, because some stores are just gross, and no bargain would be good enough for me to go to them, but I had some time to kill so I gave it a try and was glad I did.

This little blue dress by Sequin Hearts is cheaper than a latte and the joy lasts a whole lot longer. You usually can’t buy outfit pep for $4, but anything is possible on thrifted Thursdays!

I bought the cross-neck tank from Shein last year on clearance for $6. I love the vibrant orange. What a deal, only $14 for a great summer outfit. The orange wedges are from Charlotte Russe. It will be tough to beat a $4 outfit but I will keep looking!

Have a blessed day,

Eden
