Stripes Express

I wanted to add more bold colors to my wardrobe this summer, and I was able to find several cute pieces that just all happened to be in a stripe pattern. I like having so many color choices to work with since I can create several outfits from them.

I bought this adorable Express top at the end of winter, you will always find great savings by shopping off season items. It had that warm summer day feel that you always look forward to when it’s cold outside. The vertical stripes and tie waist elongate my short frame, and I always need help with that lol.

Since the top is so colorful, and I want it to be the focus, I paired it with white wide-leg pants by Boston Proper. They are sold out but retailed on BP site for $69.50! My frugalista price was only $16, they were part of my birthday shopping haul from my favorite store NBC. They always have a huge sale for the 4th of July and I get the greatest deals there. You can never go wrong with a white wide leg pant in summer, they will go with everything so they are a great investment piece.

The bright Mossimo peacock blue heels give just the right bit of kick, even though they don’t show as much due to the length and width of the pants, I know they are there lol. Wearing interesting shoes is the exclamation point on any outfit!
