Old is new $5 skirt
One of the reasons I gravitate to vintage pieces is their staying power. I love that they are unique, that even decades later they still have a shine. Not to mention their quality is just superior to most items today. There is just something about finding a piece that has it’s own back story, and this one could certainly tell some tales! You know if I see something vintage and plaid, I will always check it out.
This cutie pie is the real vintage deal, decades old but she still looks AMAZING! The cut of the skirt is flattering, lots of colors to work with and what a great price at $5
I could style this so many ways, but I chose to give it a prep/menswear look. I paired it with a vintage button-down shirt that has an larger collar and french cuffs. A new burgundy vest and a vintage Ralph Lauren navy crest jacket I bought on eBay years ago. The boots are Adalyn by Jennifer Lopez, they match but for whatever reason look more purple in the photos than they are in person. A thrifted gray Express fedora is the finishing touch.
This outfit is sooo me. I feel great in it and that’s what fashion should do. This vintage skirt is got a new do, so she lives to slay another day, one womans donation is anothers treasure!
Blessings,
Eden
