Thrifted Thursday accessories & $5 pants
This outfit will be perfect for fall, but I didn’t want to wait almost a year to wear it. That’s the thing with thrifting, you never know what you are going to find.
You all know that I constantly talk about the importance of good accessories. They don’t have to be expensive, most of mine are either thrifted or purchased at NBC for next to nothing. The right accessories can take an outfit from meh to MEOW in a flash.
Being a huge fan of menswear, I do love suspenders, I own them in every color, but these are my favorite. Skinny tan leather. In my beloved 80’s leather suspenders were the “it” thing to own in men’s fashion. I loved them then and still do today.
I thrifted these cute Mossimo aka Target pants for only $5. They are a little lower rise than I prefer but the rust and dark green plaid won me over. The cute cuffed wider leg is the perfect style for suspenders. The scarf was also a thrifted find for $4. I added a $10 dark green turtleneck by Shein and a cute rust beret I got for Christmas. Rust suede Forever 21 oxford heels are the perfect shoe for this look.
I bought this vintage Ralph Lauren plaid blazer on eBay a few years ago when you could still get his vintage things for super cheap. Rust color leather trim matches to a tee. You can never go wrong investing in Vintage Ralph, they just keep increasing in value since they are honestly timeless pieces. Adding some rust leather gloves just adds a little pow. Everyone needs a little pow now and then! A great outfit for staying warm.
Blessings,
Eden
