Thrifted Thursday Burg fur

This thrifted Thursday’s offering was a pretty great deal. A brand new with tags suit by Apt 9 for only $12. I would have spent that just for the removable fur collar since it is a color I didn’t have, big shock, I know.

My heart always starts racing when I see fur anything, but one that has color is going in my cart for sure. You all are probably sick to death of all the fur I post during the winter months. I can’t help myself, the minute I see it on the rack I am immediately drawn to it’s soft luxe happiness. I will probably be buried in fur and high heels, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I decided to go monochromatic with this look. The pleats in the skirt and the overall cut of the suit gives it a vintage 40’s feel which I love. The rich burgundy color makes it unique since I have yet to ever see one like it while shopping all these years.

Adding a thin belt, coordinating scarf, gloves, and hat just plays into that vintage look. I recently purchased the Vince Camuto boots in violet-red, they are a perfect start to what I am sure will be a growing collection of this color.

Soon, it will be time to put the fur away, always a sad day, but I will look forward to next season to wear this again and use the collar for other things.
