DIY drop cloth patio cushions

If you read my post patio cushion hell, you will now get the full scope of what an insane idea it was to sew all of these cushions and pillows.

Everything but 2 pillows on the couch, I handmade and cussed out multiple times lol. 40 in all! They almost didn’t make it, I swore they were bonfire destined day after day lol. I am glad patience prevailed because I am very happy with how it all turned out. I bought all the furniture sets separately so spray paint and the cushions help to unify them.

I used basic paint drop cloths from Lowes for the fabic. The Texas sun just bleaches out vibrant colors so quickly so plain it is. The ruffles, monogram and piping just gave it a little more ummpf and me a little carpal tunnel lol.

The grass will be the next order of business, it was all basically ripped out when they put the pool in. We have big plans for the backyard now that the pool is finally finished. Hubs is building a large deck and fountain on the back of the pool which is what the big hose laying on the ground is for. That will be a next spring project, by then I will probably want to add new pillows or something to the cushions. It will take that long for me to even look at a sewing machine again.

Have a blessed one!
