A cape & FLAT shoes!
OMG, Becky!! LOOK at her shoes, they are soo FLAT! I like high heels and I cannot lie LOL. Spreading a little 90’s Sir Mix-a-lot vibe today. If you know that song, you are already singing it in your head, and probably will be for the next hour, you’re welcome lol.
Flat shoes. Not my standard MODA operandi, (for the word police, I know it’s modus lol) I joke that I came out of the womb in my beloved heels. So it’s a rare thing when I willingly choose a flat shoe with an outfit.
But… these tasseled lovelies are by my fashion love man, Ralph Lauren so it was an easy choice to go with a menswear-ish outfit.
The cape that I LOVE brings the drama, but what also makes this outfit stand out is the color, or lack thereof, varying shades of ivory, are not a head-to-toe hue you see very often, especially for fall or winter, but wearing something you don’t see every day is my thing. I could pop it with another color in accessories, and it would give off a totally different feel, but I really like the crisp and tailored look of it.
This is an easy outfit to recreate in any color. A button-down shirt, a v-neck sweater, slim-fit pants. If you don’t have a cape you can use a blazer instead. A fedora and pearls will add instant glam to just about any outfit.
Ralph Lauren, a cape and menswear style, it’s the fashion trifecta for me, tailored and polished is my cup of tea.
Not an outfit for a red wine & spaghetti dinner, if you are clumsy like me, but great for a date night or work, It’ll give your coworkers something to talk about lol.
Flats are growing on me a bit, stepping outside your fashion comfort zone is a good thing once in a while.
Have a most wonderful day,
Eden
