How many plaid capes can one girl own? Too many is never enough is my standard answer to that lol. I have a very hard time saying no to vintage things and capes, so when I find a vintage cape, well that’s just a done deal.

Isn’t she lovely? Sigh, unfortunately, it is $4000!! LOL! 2 more zeros than I would ever pay. I found a similar print on a seriously vintage piece on eBay. A wool tartan cape, close enough to quench my need for it.

I paired it with a black turtleneck dress, vintage fur-trimmed Cole Haan boots and a sassy little beret for fun. Oh the stories I am sure this sweet cape could tell. I know it will live on with one of my girls long after I am gone. That is the great thing about a timeless vintage piece!
