Happy FALL eve!!! Don’t you just love when the seasons change? New colors, new wardrobe choices and of course beautiful scenery. Fall is the best!

This little skort dress also puts me in a great fall mood. I’ve had this dress for many years and it is my go-to autumn outfit. It is a homemade vintage piece that is incredibly made. Still so vibrant even though it’s decades old. I am always in shock at how well some people can sew. I know just enough to be dangerous, but this piece is just perfectly made. If it weren’t for the vintage zipper, I would have never known someone created this little darling from scratch.

The bright orange flowers pop against the sable color. The built-in shorts make the mini wearable for me. It’s a great fall outfit for Texas considering it was 100 degrees when I took this photo. Fall in Texas is just a number on the calendar, it has nothing to do with temperature.

Adding a cape to this outfit just gives it a little more of a fall flair. Wearing the cape askew just adds a little style punch. I have 2 choices that go with it, the dramatic orange and the plain tan both go well, but the tan does not compete as much with the dress so depending on how vibrant I want to be that day determines my choice. I like to give myself several choices with an outfit so I don’t grow tired of it. Normally I wear wedges or heels with it, but pairing it with gladiator boots did kick it up a notch, however, it did tend to give it a 300 Leonidas look lol, which my hubs got a kick out of. “This is Sparta” Texas version lol

Certainly not an outfit to lead an army but always one to give autumn its kick start.
