In past posts, I shared that I sometimes name certain clothes, or how I style them. It’s always random, coming out of the blue. In this case, when I put on this $8 dress, the song uptown girl by Billy Joel came into mind and I decided to style it accordingly.

On the hanger, the dress doesn’t look that great. Honestly, it’s been on the chopping block several times during my closet cleanouts, but adding my standard summer basics of a big floppy hat and sunglasses gives the look I wanted to create so it lives on for another summer.

Now let’s talk about these cute Liliana heels. A Poshmark steal for only $8. They have little Vogue magazine covers all over them, which just happened to match a brand new $9 purse from GW. Being a fashion addict, these two were a must-have for my closet. They add a little whimsy to an “uppity” dress lol. As you all know by now I am all about the whimsy!
