Spring has sprung

It finally feels like spring here in Texas! We are seeing 80 degree days which is wonderful. Over the winter I bought a few floral cuties that have been waiting in the vault for the season to change. I am going to show how to style a strapless dress 3 different ways, to make these floral staples more versatile. This adorable Eva Menendez strapless sundress is a great way to kick off the season.

A new $5 Forever 21 polka dot sheer top from NBC, and a $7 Nine West green blazer are my mix and match pieces. This dress has a zippered back so it is not as versatile as one with an elastic band.

Even weeds can be beautiful lol, anything with sunflowers is just a happy print. First up is wearing the dress just as intended. I styled it with a cute flower choker, a large brim yellow hat with black trim you can find on Amazon, and Ralph Lauren heels.

If you are not comfortable wearing strapless dresses or it’s still too chilly to do so, a great trick is to put a button down top underneath it. I do this often in transitional weather months and also to change up a dress from the way I would normally style it. I switched up the shoes to black and yellow Mary Jane platforms when not wearing the hat.

Adding an extra layer, A green blazer and bow heels pull the green from the leaves to the front of the dress. It’s also more modest for when you want to feel more covered up. When it comes to choosing what color of blazer to wear, I usually pull the least represented color in the fabric and use it for accessories. If I wanted to tone the whole outfit down, I would wear a black blazer and heels so the flowers would be the focal point.

Sadly, I will be selling this dress since it’s just too small in the bust for me, otherwise, I wouldn’t part with it. Hopefully, I will find another at some point, it’s such a darling dress for spring. I love pulling out the florals, it is such a fun day to switch out wardrobes!

Blessings,

Eden
