Look for LESS Yellow!

I wanted to start the month in a sunny color since our weather had been a little gloomy. I was excited to do this LOOK FOR LESS, it’s so dang close to the original, which made it really fun to do. The original LOOK is by the beautiful Rita Tesla. I adore her style and love almost everything she wears. I often copy her looks, she is always so put together. When this outfit came up on my feed, I was instantly on the hunt for a yellow sweater dress, the problem was it was at the end of the season last year and no one had a similar one.

I saw the perfect dress on Shein, but they were sold out, UGGH. Once you find the right one, it’s hard to settle for second best. They did have the belt for $7 and the hat for $6, I ordered them on the hopes that I would find the dress at some point.

When the order came in I went to review them on the site and by chance looked again to see if they had a cute yellow dress, and there was the original one I wanted, and it was on clearance in my size for just $12! I love moments like that, it’s so satisfying.

The dress came in and it was so much better than I thought it would be, it was a heavy, rich fabric which was great, except it was waaay to warm to wear at the time, so it sat in the closet waiting to make it’s grand entrance.

I used 2 different purses to get as close as possible to the original look, the first one was from the mall, a nothing over $8 store such a cute little boho purse.

The second purse is one of my favorite thrift purchases ever. A $15 no name bag but it is just amazing. I wish I had one in every color. I am already using the $4 leather trench I recently posted with several looks. A successful copy for a fraction of the cost. I can’t wait to copy her again!
