I hope your day is filled with love and happiness, or Netflix and a box of chocolates, there’s some love to be had there for sure. It’s great thought, in theory. A day to show those care about some love. But it can create some pressure. Women in the office watching other women get flowers while they slowly stick pins in the vodoo doll of their man who didn’t bother. Covid has made it a little easier, since a lot of people are working from home and don’t have to see Nancy get her giant balloon boquet and singing Cupid-o-gram. I am weird in the fact that I don’t like getting flowers. I think they are beautiful, and hubs gets them for me every Valentines day, but I think it’s a waste of money honestly. After a week they die and end up in the trash. Put a pair of heels in a vase? Now we are talking!

I am blessed to celebrate the day with hubs, the best valentine a girl could ever ask for. He bought me a pair of red Vince Camuto boots that I have been coveting for a long time. He sooo gets me. I think most husbands would have cut off my shoe supply by now. I will happily add this new pair of sheer joy to the vault.

It’s only in the 20’s here which is INSANE. So we will be staying in for sure. If you are going out on a date to paint the town red or curling up in fuzzy PJs, I hope it’s lovely!
