Guess splurge

Every now and then IT happens. I find something not on sale and actually purchase it lol. I know, shocking information.

It has to be a LOVE LOVE situation, which honestly does not happen too often because obviously, my LOVE usually has a low price tag lol. If I were an average shopper, I would only buy a few items every year or two, then spending full price would certainly make sense, but I enjoy the hunt more than the purchase, I find so many cute things, that I rotate clothes out more frequently than most. Hubs would have grounds for divorce and a possible psych hold on me if I were to actually pay {{GASP}} retail for all my finds lol.

NBC has crazy low prices, but when they get items in, they don’t always put them all on sale right away, it can be the next week, or sometimes even later, which is how they can get you lol. Since there is usually only 1 or 2 of each item, if you find something cute in your size, you better snatch it up because the likelihood of it being there the next week would be slim.

That’s the case with this dreamy, cold shoulder, Hawaiian dress by Guess. It is so much prettier in person than the pictures show.

An off-white floral button-down, the cut is just romantic and flowy which I adore.

I did not however adore the $30 price tag. Now, most of you ladies are probably laughing that I think $30 is a lot for a dress, and you would be right, it’s not. BUT, considering that I usually spend around $4-10 for dresses at NBC, I would get 3 for this price, so by my get more for less math, it’s a splurge.

I could not find another one like it presently on the web to get an idea of the actual retail price. They have a similar one on their site for $167, so if it was in that ballpark, $30 was a steal, and I am very happy with my purchase.

It’s a rare thing indeed that I love something enough to spend the extra. But this dress was a must-have for me, especially since I wear Hawaiian prints to death. I’ve saved more than enough on my other finds so it’s fun to spulrge now and then.

Blessings,

Eden
