Granny square jacket

If you grew up in the 70’s like I did, you undoubtedly had a poster of Leif Garret on your wall, caked-on baby blue eyeshadow to go roller skating, and some version of the granny square crochet, it could be an afghan, aka blanket, potholders, a purse or THE coveted jacket if your grandma really loved you lol. Clearly, you could make a lot of things with the granny square. It is something that brings back a lot of childhood memories.

Now, decades later a new generation can’t get enough of this piece of Americana. Longer jackets like this one run from $150-300. LOL mmm-kay nope. My price? $12.99. It’s the first one I have ever seen at a thrift store.

Pretty easy to style, some leggings or jeans and a black turtleneck. Every color under the sun is represented so you could wear just about anything with it.

It’s not normally my style but it is growing on me lol, it just reminds me of a time when things were just simple, no tech or Amazon to monopolize time. But then again I wouldn’t be able to make this outfit diary so there’s good in it too.

Blessings,

Eden
