Coat tales

Snowvid 2021 taught me that its indeed good to have warm coats in Texas after all. I have often lamented not being able to wear my much loved wool bundles of joy. When it would get “cold” here ( maybe 50’s ) I would race to grab which coat I could tolerate the longest without roasting, since a lot of the ones I have are much too warm for this climate. That does not stop me from keeping them anyway. Many times the coat is cuter than what I am wearing underneath it. A nice belted coat just adds an instant upstyle. I look at them like accessories. I like to have multiple colors so I can match them to about any outfit.

Hubs bought me this Victoria Secret fur trimmed coat for our first Christmas together. It will always be so special to me because of that. Add Newport croc boots, leather gloves and a Louis bag and you will feel like the queen of the castle.

Here are a few more…

I absolutely adore the vintage New York & Co teal trench coat. I always get a ton of compliments on it, the color is so rich. It’s my go to light weight coat. It looks great with everything. If you can find it on Ebay or the like, snap it up, you won’t be disappointed.

A few more for the road…

That’s it for now. I’ll save the rest for next season!

Blessings!
