Corset tales

When the DIY floral swing went up, I knew exactly what outfit I wanted to wear with it. A cute eyelet lace corset I bought at NBC last summer for $6. I usually pair it with a flowy skirt because corsets always remind me of something you see on the cover of a romance novel…

Growing up, my friend’s mom had TONS of them around her house, ( aka 1980’s mom porn) We would always giggle at them, and even then I would always focus more on how pretty the dresses were than the shirtless dudes lol.

I can’t promise wearing a cute corset will produce a flowing maned, muscled sherrif with an aversion to clothing, ( I’m sure they are on his floor somewhere for a wife to pick up, probably right next to thee hamper lol) but I can tell you they have that sexy yet sweet vibe going on that make it a great date night top with a blazer and a pair of jeans.

Corsets have had a bad rap, deservingly though, no one thinks of comfort when they hear the word corset. However, they are no longer the instrument of torture they once were lol.

I can’t even imagine living in yesteryear where they were a daily undergarment. I complain wearing even a flimsy bralette, I would have never made it back then. I thought for sure a man invented it, but nope, it was a woman. Yay for female invention, boo for the inability to breathe for decades. The things we have endured in the name of fashion and for a smaller waist. Hmmpf.

My peachy keen skirt makes a quick comeback. It has that dreamy romantic feel that I want to pair with everything. The floppy hat just adds to this ultra-feminine look which is always a winner in my book.

Blessings,

Eden
