Chain reaction

It’s V day for inspiration! Versace, Valentino, and vintage. What’s not to love about that trio? As I wrote the post about this adorable chain print dress, I instantly thought of 2 more ways to style it, and went back to add more photos. We can add another V for versatility.

In my beloved 80’s, chain-printed silk loveliness hit it big due to Verace’s branding. Through the years it comes in and out of style. However, Versace still uses it to this day. If it’s good enough for a MEGA fashion brand, it’s plenty good for me.

I am a sucker for any type of this print, especially if it has vibrant colors. The majority of my pieces are scarves but I have found a few pieces recently that I will be styling into cute outfits soon.

Back to the details of this cute little number by Alice Co, it hits all my chain buttons. Vibrant, silky, pockets, and versatile. Not to mention inexpensive, my favorite part of it lol. I love it other than the length of the sleeves and the unfortunate print placement/ nipple beacons on the chest. Now that I’ve said it, it just became more obvious lol. I actually didn’t buy it the first time I saw it because of that.

Rockstud heels, the style made so popular in 2010 by Valentino, give the ornamental bling needed to blend in with the chain fabric. An 80’s hat plus a vintage chain belt keep up the old-school styling.

I turn all button-down dresses into dusters. It’s one of my favorite fashion hacks. They just give a cute kick to an outfit. The multiple colors give me lots of options of what to pair it with.

To hide the beacons, a simple vintage double-breasted vest fixed that problem. Sometimes I get fixated on something small and end up recreating an entire outfit because of it.

Adding the pencil skirt with the partial duster look is not something you see every day which is my favorite kind of style lol.

It’s such a colorful piece, which makes it easy to dress up a pair of jeans for after the office plans.

A thrifted $3 vibrant orange Ann Taylor blouse and $8 Tommy Hilfiger jeans pull the colors together.

Button-down dresses are such a good investment since it’s several outfits in one. I am sure I will be styling this beauty in more ways to come!

Blessings,

Eden
