Weather wear & a Brahmin bag

It’s officially spring! I wish I were posting a beautiful floral dress to welcome the new season but it has only been in the low 50’s here and rainy, some states have it way worse, with snow and freezing temps. Just when you think cold weather is done BAM, your warm outfits live another day. I wanted to style 3 of my new finds according to the varying degrees on the national weather map.

I hit the thrift jackpot in finding an authentic BRAHMIN bag for just $10! The leather roses that hang from the handle are going for $150 online by themselves. This was a crazy good find. The deals of that day didn’t stop there, $10 brand new Steve Madden leopard fur pumps, local shoe stores donate their unsold items all the time, so I can always find a cute new pair of shoes for a fraction of the cost. Last but not least a $9 adorable beige knit dress, The prices were already great, but since I get a senior discount of 30% all these pieces came to just under $20! Can you even believe that? Such a fun and satisfying shopping day!

The dress matches perfectly with the beige in the pumps, which does my matchy-match heart good! I thrifted this vintage $5 belt a while back and it keeps the beige going so the purse can stand out alone. For warmer temp states like ours, the dress alone is warm enough without a blazer but thin enough to not be overly hot.

Changing accessories always gives an outfit a new look, especially when they match so well. I recently bought the cutest $11 fedoras (from Aliexpress) that have a thin contrasting trim around the brim, this one matches well with a pair of green suede rock stud heels. The beige brim trim goes well with the dress. A thrifted vintage tan clutch purse keeps the color muted so the focus stays on the hat and heels.

For colder states, switching to over the knee Kashina snakeskin boots by Vince Camuto brings the glam and warmth.

If you are in very cold state, a matching green double breasted trench brings all the colors together. Never underestimate the power of a plain dress, it will go with so many things, regardless of the temperature and it will highlight your cute accessories. Wherever you are on the temperature map, warm weather is right around the corner!

Blessings,

Eden
