$4 Wings
One would think the title would be discussing a lunch special at Buffalo wild wings, but no, it’s my latest fashion find.
I don’t know how many times I passed this Thalia Sodi dress over at NBC. Normally, I love anything unique, it had the handkerchief hem I love, it had a flowy, romantic look, the fabric was airy for the Texas summer heat, all of my normal love boxes checked. BUT, the flappy arm, angel wing thing?? Nope. I’m out. A legit maxi pad commercial slogan kept going through my mind, “It’s thin with wings” you might remember it. Feminine products? Not exactly the thought I want to have when I look at a dress, swipe left, and move on BUT when it went on sale for $4 I had to at least try it on right? Then BAM! The rest is I bought it history and that’s the cute story of how we met.
The moral of the story is to never judge an outfit by its hanger. Sometimes you just have to take the risk and try on something unique The dress fits perfectly and I really love it. The flappy wings no longer bother me at all, they are quirky, just like me. The fact that it was less than a Latte at Starbucks makes it even sweeter.
