$3 Black Lace Jumpsuit 5.5 ways

One of the things I love about shopping at NBC (halfofhalf.com) is I can ALWAYS find something cute in their clearance section for a ridiculously low price.

Such was the case with this wide leg jumpsuit. A small part of a seam had come apart and it was missing a belt so it was marked down from $19 which was already a great price, down to $3!! Whaaat?? Formal wear for less than a drink at Starbucks! Such minor fixes for an amazing price.

I decided to style it in different ways to show how verstatile jumpsuits, even“formal-ish” ones can be. Let’s roll!

Option #1- I just added a lace belt, statement necklace, and some black heels. This piece is adorable all on it’s own so you don’t need to add a lot to it, but you all know by now that is not my way of doing things lol.

Option #2- I thrifted this cute leopard duster for $7, it makes a great addition to put over the top. Throw on a chunky belt, some leopard shoes, and you are out the door!

Option #3- Adding a classic black blazer now makes the jumpsuit look more like slacks and a top. Belting a blazer gives the waist more definition and a chance to add a pop of color to the sea of black.

Option #4- Speaking of POP of color, GO BOLD! A hot pink cami, belt and shoes breathes life into any solid color.

Option #5-I recently found this wonderful vintage silk black and gold top at Goodwill for $6. I LOVE it. Vintage pieces like this are timeless, and I will be wearing this one with several things. It helped to tone down the formality of the jumpsuit. BUT… adding a vintage tie and big jeweled belt… well not so much lol.

Option #5.5 I dropped the shoulders down and pinned them under the shoulder pads in the shirt with a small safety pin, creating a new neckline.

This is my favorite of all the options. It is my style. I love wearing things that are different, and this is not a standard way to style a jumpsuit.

I wore different shoes for each outfit, but my favorite pair with this jumpsuit are these adorable Madison by Shoedazzle lace/bow heels. I recently bought them new on Poshmark and they match the jumpsuit perfectly. How divine!

There you have it! 5.5 ways to style a jumpsuit. With their lighter weight fabric, jumpsuits make the perfect transition piece from summer to fall.

Happy shopping!
